Lead Development Representative

Background Information

Location: San Jose, CA

This position will be expected to perform articulate, professional, and knowledgeable outbound sales calls, telemarketing calls and electronic communication to prospects in order to acquire new business leads for Regional Account Managers. This position is an integral part of the Lead Generation Team with direct reporting to the Inside Sales Director in
San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute a Prospecting Plan to develop Sales Lead Pipeline.
  • Conduct thorough follow-up on leads/lists generated by marketing programs. (Web visits, Trade show booth visits, seminar attendees) Also, drive attendance to company sponsored events such as local seminars,trade shows etc.
  • Proactive calling of 75+ calls per day into identified prospects.
  • Maintain close relationship with field sales organization to increase chance of closure.
  • Obtain thorough knowledge of company's product solutions, case studies, and business value to identify and drive qualified leads.
  • Achieve or exceed all quarterly lead quotas.
  • Record all communication, sales and lead qualification activity into Salesforce.com CRM system.

Requirements:

  • Some telesales experience in a high-tech, business-to-business environment with outbound cold calling.
  • Must be a positive high energy team player who is self-motivated.
  • Outstanding time management and organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to be proactive and take the initiative to get things done.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding lead generation objectives.

Principle Engineer / Architect - Cloud Infrastructure

General intention and expectations of candidate:

Quorum is seeking a senior engineer / architect who will leverage his/her knowledge of IT infrastructure technologies – networking, virtualization, and storage - to design and deploy the cloud infrastructure that supports Quorum’s Disaster Recovery as a Service Hybrid Cloud offer.

The successful candidate will be an outstanding individual with strong systems level engineering abilities. This position requires a true principal level contributor who can take responsibility for delivering a major component of Quorum’s offer. This individual will have a technical leadership role providing direction to internal resources and external technology providers.

Reports to:

Responsibilities:

  • Working with product development teams and third party suppliers, define architecture, including technology choices, and system-level design for Quorum’s Disaster Recovery as a Service Hybrid Cloud infrastructure.
  • Propose and specify enhancements to Quorum’s cloud infrastructure to improve economics and service levels.
  • Work directly with Quorum support and operations teams to define operating processes and procedures.
  • Work directly with Quorum product development engineers to specify additional features and functionality needed to support Quorum’s cloud infrastructure.
  • Work with Quorum’s colocation providers to specify datacenter and networking requirements.
  • Analyze opportunities to integrate new technologies developed by Quorum or third parties.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Information Science / Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Experience with at least one virtualization stack – VMware vSphere, Xen, KVM, or Hyper-V.
  • Experience with networking technologies including TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, routing, firewalls, VLAN.
  • Experience with storage technologies including storage arrays, SAN, and storage management tools.
  • Experience with large-scale private or public cloud service infrastructures supporting multi-tenant infrastructure or software as a service offers.

Desirable Skills:

  • Programming skills including experience with one or more scripting languages such as Bash, Perl, Python, or PHP.
  • Experience with Xen and / or Citrix Xenserver.
  • Experience with Cloud storage infrastructure for data protection.
  • Knowledge of or experience with one or more IaaS offerings such as Amazon AWS, Rackspace Cloud, GoGrid, Google Compute Engine, Microsoft Azure, etc.
  • Knowledge of or experience with Cloud-oriented management frameworks such as OpenStack.

UI Engineer

General intention and expectations of candidate:

Provide cutting-edge UI design and implementation for Quorum’s system management interface including the entire web-facing componentry of the solution. Working with human factors and graphics elements consultants for design, storyboard, and core elements, the candidate will be responsible for the management software user experience including implementation and unit / component level testing.

Reports to:

Manager, Software Development

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop the web-based system management solution.
  • Represent management usability during design discussions related to the user experience.
  • Evaluate and select third party technology and products where appropriate to meet design and schedule goals.
  • Work with usability, graphics elements, and other outsideresources as required.

Education:

BS + 3 years experience, MS + 2 years experience. The candidate should have a degree in one of the following disciplines: Computer Science, Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics or Physics.

Experience and Skills:

  • 3+ years’ experience developing web-based user interfaces for IT infrastructure (e.g., storage, networking, servers, etc) products.
  • Strong experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, jQuery, Ajax, JSON, and MySQL.
  • Strong JavaScript and web compatibility debugging skills.
  • Experience with and strong knowledge of test driven development.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
  • Experience coding and scripting in a Linux environment.
  • Proven ability to understand complex software design and algorithms, and design / develop testing approaches for them.
