Connection Alerts onQ sends connection alerts when the DR system loses its connection with the HA Appliance, then re-establishes the connection. Depending on the circumstances, you might need to exercise your Disaster Recovery procedures. Severity & Subject Message Cause What do I do? Critical CRITICAL - Link between <HA-Appliance-Name> and <DR-Appliance-Name> is re-established The link between the HA and DR sites has been re-established. If RNs were being used in production mode, you will need to schedule your failback procedure before bringing up your PNs to minimize data loss. Possible causes are: • The HA appliance is completely down (unavailable) – including protection. However, DR is up and running. • The ‘Linkmon’ service on DR Appliance cannot start or isn’t working properly. • The onQ (Remote) configuration on DR Appliance does not have correct hostname or IP address for HA Appliance. If necessary, go to Fail back DR to HA Appliance Critical CRITICAL - Unable to contact <HA-Appliance-Name> from <DR-Appliance-Name> The onQ HA Manager onQMspHA7.cust7.com cannot be contacted. If this is confirmed to be a site failure, you will need to start Disaster Recovery protection from MspDR7. If necessary, go to Fail back DR to HA Appliance
