Use this procedure if you performed the failover steps outlined in Fail over HA Appliance to DR Appliance.
• If you want to synchronize the Repositories using WAN synchronization, ensure that the trust relationship is set up on the remote onQ Appliance.
• If you want to synchronize the Repositories using export/import, remove the trust relationship on the remote onQ Appliance by setting an empty password.
4. During the scheduled downtime, log on to the remote onQ Appliance’s onQ Portal and do the following:
a. Stop all the recovery nodes (which are acting as protected nodes).
b.
5. Power on the local onQ Appliance, if it isn’t already.
6.
• If you chose WAN synchronization in Step 2, that process takes place as soon as the local onQ Appliance boots up. At this time, also ensure that the local onQ Appliance’s role is HA.
• If you chose export/import in Step 2, ensure that the local onQ Appliance’s role is HA, then perform that export/import.
8. Log on to the local onQ Appliance’s onQ Portal, and do the following to address failures to the protected nodes, if applicable.
a.
b. Start protection. A restore requires protection.
• bare metal restore (BMR)
• file level restore (FLR)
• Windows Share Restore (WSR)
9. On the local onQ Appliance, bring up all the protected nodes. The boot order must take into account any interdependencies.
