Start node protection

After you add nodes, then enroll them, you’re ready to protect them.

It will take several hours to complete the initial backup cycle and recovery node construction, but incremental snapshots are usually very fast.

To start protection:

1.	Log on to either the HA Appliance’s onQ Portal or the DR Appliance’s onQ Portal.

2.	Select the pull-down menu.

3.	Choose Start Protection.

If Protection is ON, you see the table of nodes you want to protect, with several configurable parameters for each:
