About Hybrid Cloud Hybrid Cloud is a DR Appliance in the cloud (DRaaS). The Deployment of a Hybrid Cloud‑enabled HA Appliance is virtually identical to a non‑cloud DR Appliance. The only difference is that you must also add information so that the HA Appliance can VPN to the DR Appliance. This secure connection enables the HA Appliance to send snapshots to the DR Appliance. In the event of an HA site disaster, Quorum can ship you the cloud DR Appliance, replacing it with a new DR instance. This onsite DR Appliance assumes the HA role. From this onQ Appliance, you can perform the needed BMR/failback to restore your PNs. The Quorum Data Center that will be hosting your applications are SAS‑70 Type II certified. All data transferred from the HA Appliance to the DR Appliance goes through a 128‑bit AES encrypted session behind a 256‑bit AES VPN tunnel that is connected directly from the HA Appliance to the DR Appliance. There is a dedicated virtual firewall isolating each individual custom virtual network. All connections to the DR Appliance or the DR RNs are via VPN to that firewall. Moreover, Hybrid Cloud is certified PCI compliant. As the first vendor in the industry to offer cloud recovery that meets the payment card industry's (PCI) security specifications, Quorum ensures credit card data obtained by retail establishments, and any other organization that handles credit card information, is kept secure throughout the backup and recovery process.
