The flexible onQ architecture means simple installation and configuration for multiple uses:
• onQ Local: physical hardware or virtual machine located onsite to provide high availability and 1-click recovery to any point in time.
• onQ Remote: a second onQ appliance can be located at a remote site and configured as a remote recovery appliance. Compressed, encrypted data is sent from the local onQ appliance at user configured intervals.
• onQ Cloud: for organizations that want the security and cost savings of Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS), the onQ local appliance can be configured to send compressed encrypted data to the Quorum cloud, providing offsite disaster recovery at a fraction of the cost.

onQ vApp installs into your current VMWare environment
to leverage your
existing hardware and VMWare infrastructure. It works within VSphere and on a stand- alone ESXi box. Even though this is a virtual appliance running on VMWare, you can still protect both physical and virtual machines.
As a virtual appliance, it is just a download away. Then a quick install and you can be protecting your servers in less than 1 hour.
· onQ® HA (High Availability) can leverage the onQ appliance locally to supply protection for data, as well as workload availability to instantly recover and run any set of protected servers.
· onQ® DR (Disaster Recovery) deploys the onQ appliance both locally to provide the HA functions, and remotely to supply complete server recovery to meet any customers configuration or need.
Whether you are a single site or many, the onQ physical and virtual appliances can fit your needs. onQ can be configured to replicate data from between two sites, as a hub and spoke from multiple sites back to a central locaiton, or even as round-robin configuration between multiple sites. Any onQ appliance can be configured to point to the Quorum Cloud.
Our deduplication is global (at the source) and local (at the target) sending a single copy of only the changes to your files, so storage and bandwidth use are minimized, from a single server and across the protected list of servers. This means you can set update intervals as low as 15 minutes and keep deep archives wthout impacting performance or using massive amounts of storage.
The Quorum cloud synchronizes with the onQ high-availability (HA) appliance after each update, creating a virtual machine clone in the cloud. This clone can be run in the cloud (for testing or after a disaster) with or without the presence of the local onQ HA appliance or image.
All data transferred from the HA appliance to the DR appliance or cloud will go through a 128 bit AES encrypted session over a 256 bit AES VPN tunnel. There is a dedicated firewall isolating each individual virtual network enabling access to the DR recovery node. All connections to the DR nodes are done via VPN through that firewall. The data centers that will be hosting your applications are Tier 1, world-class, state of the art, PCI, HIPAA & SOC 2 certified. The data centers have been built with unmatched attention to detail to ensure the highest performance, and the safest and most stable environment possible.
Quorum onQ HA & DR appliances are generally sized to store up to 30-40 days of backups. However, many customers will require longer retention periods, perhaps driven by HIPAA, PCI or e-discovery requirements. These can easily be accommodated using the onQ Archive Vault feature; which provides virtually unlimited growth potential. In addition, onQ Archive Vault leverages the compute resources of the onQ Appliance to reduce deployment cost and load on your production servers. Maximum retention is virtually unlimited, and archive backups can be scheduled weekly, monthly, quarterly or annually. In addition, the archive repository data encryption is also available.
onQ Archive Vault Appliance is a JBOD device you can purchase from Quorum. A single instance of the Quorum onQ Archive Vault can be extended to more than 200 TBs across 8 disk storage modules. It is possible to have multiple instances of the Archive Vault, thus allowing unlimited growth potential.
onQ Archive Vault Gateway allows you to take advantage of your existing storage hardware by using it as the repository for your Archive Vault Data. It is connected either by iSCSI, or fibre channel to your storage. The onQ Archive Vault Virtual machine is managed by your onQ appliance. Scalability is limited only by the size of the storage you wish to attach.
